Director

Žarko Stepanović was appointed to the position of Acting Director of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society by the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the session held on 12th February 2016.

Žarko Stepanović was born in Belgrade in 1962. After graduating from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade (department of adult education), his first professional engagement was in in the cultural and educational department in Radio Television of Serbia. He worked as a journalist for three years, after which he devoted his carrier to civil society.

For several years he was executive director of Young Researchers of Serbia, and then program director at the Foundation for an Open Society. Since 2004 until the appointment of the Acting Director of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, he worked in the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence as director, i.e. program coordinator. His area of expertise in the BFPE is related to strategic planning, program implementation of programs and projects of BFPE connected to decision makers (MPs, governmental bodies, local self-government, CSOs, political parties, media, etc).

He was a member of several management boards and is currently a member of the Management Board of Serbian Association of Andragogists and Petnica Science Center.

Director of the Office manages, organizes, integrates and directs the work of the Office represents the Office. Director also provides legal and efficient performance of tasks, decides on the rights, duties and responsibilities of employees and performs other duties in accordance with the law.

Marija Stanković

Officer for Administrative Affairs

Marija Stankovic was born in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics at the University of Novi Sad, at the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management. She acquired work experience in the field of social inclusion of marginalized groups on projects of leading NGOs. She finished her internship in the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society in 2013/14 within the internship program for members of national minorities in state institutions. Marija also gained experience as an intern in the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, and she received professional training within the State Program of Volunteering of the United Nations for work in local institutions.

She won prizes in geography competitions, and she was also a scholarship holder of international education foundations.

Мilеnа Nedeljkov

Head of the Department for Planing and Creating Enabling Environment for the Development of Civil Society

Milena was born in Belgrade. She graduated from Faculty for Special Education and Rehabilitation,University of Belgrade. She started her professional career in her primary field of expertise - as speech and language therapists for deaf children and children with intellectual disabilities, therapists for children with intellectual disabilities and children with Rett syndrome, in health institution, and after that in institution for social care and in nongovernmental organization.

She started working in government administration in 2004 in Ministry for labor, employment and social policy, Department for Protection of the Persons with Disability. The scope of her work of the Department includes: policy development, design and implementation of measures and services promoting and improving the rights of persons with disabilities in Serbia, monitoring the implementation of international conventions and comparative laws in the field of persons with disabilities, provision of financial and expert support to social services provided by NGOs and associations.

Milena attended numerous trainings and educations in field of human rights, rights of persons with disabilities and gender mainstreaming, organized by international organizations (SIDA and SHIA, OSCE, World Bank,) and non-governmental organizations (NGO Group Let's, the Association of students with disabilities etc...). From October 2011 she works in Office for cooperation with Civil Society as Head of Department for Planning and Creating Enabling Environment for the Development of Civil Society.

Jasmina Bogosavljević

Section for Planning and Creating Enabling Environment for Civil Society

Jasmina Bogosavljevic was born in Belgrade, where she finished Third Belgrade Gymnasium.

She graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade in the Department of Finance, banking and insurance.

She started her professional career at the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency P.E. in the Finance Department. She worked as an expert associate at the Department for Designing and Planning Documentation.

Sаnjа Аtаnаskоvić Opačić

Head of the Group for International Cooperation and European Integration

She was born in Niš, where she graduated from the Faculty of Economics. She began her professional career within the Ministry of Education and Science, in the Department for European Integration and development programs and projects in education and after that on the Project "Support to Professional Development in Education and European Initiatives".

She gained her experience in organizing conferences and seminars related to the education in the regional project Education for Sustainable Development in the Western Balkans, as well as in supporting the organization of large participatory process. She has attended many trainings and seminars related to European integration, public policies, civil society, education and project management. She is communicative and hardworking person, willing to learn and to expand her personal skills. She speaks English, Italian and German.

Jelena Todorović

Advisor for Project Implementation and Monitoring

She was born in Belgrade, where she graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations and Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

She started her career in the non-governmental sector as a student volunteer, where she had the opportunity to work as a young exchange expert in the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association in Bratislava. In 2006 she started working in the Bureau for International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, where she was in charge of bilateral cooperation and participation of members of the Serbian police in the United Nations peace missions. After years of work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2013 she has started working in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia as an foreign policy associate. Jelena held a position responsible for bilateral international cooperation in the Sector for International Cooperation, European Affairs and Planning of the Ministry of the Interior, in the period from 2016 to 2018.

She is in the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, since 2018 as an adviser for the implementation and monitoring of projects in the Group for International Cooperation and European Integration.

She speaks fluent English and French.

Bоgdаnа Rаkić

Advisor for Financial Affairs

She was born in Nis in 1969. She graduated from the Department of general economy at Belgrade Faculty of Economics.

Her professional career began in the sector for foreign transactions Belgrade Bank. In the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs she carried out a number of professional, operational and financial affairs, while in the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development she was responsible for budget financing. She speaks English fluently, likes art photography and follows developments in the field of environmental protection.

Gordana Šarboh

Group for Legal and Financial Affairs

Gordana Šarboh was born in Belgrade, where she graduated at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, in 1988, after which she passed the Bar exam. She worked in the Department for personnel, general and legal affairs of "DMB" Golding Company in Rakovica, and after that, in the Legal service of "Dvadesetprvi maj" - Hotel and Catering, where she was the President of the Supervisory Board for two mandates.

Тiјаnа Stojiljković Rоlоvić

Independent Adviser for Communication Planning and Promotional Activities

She was born in Belgrade, where she graduated from the Sociology Department of the Faculty of Philosophy. Her professional experience is based both in public and civil sector, in the areas of human rights, gender equality, transitional justice, improving position of youth and and social protection (The Republic Institute for Social Protection, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, Humanitarian Law Center - RECOM, JAZAS), as a coordinator of regional and international projects, evaluator and researcher.

During her engagement in Anti Trafficking Center she became a certified Trainer for gender-based violence and human trafficking in youth work, in 2005. For her final paper at the Sociology Department she conducted an independent research on the territory of Belgrade, Women as victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.

She participated in а number of trainings and courses about project cycles, writing project proposals and promotion of human rights. She gained valuable practical experience working with youth within international dance4life youth movement, in the field of HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health of youth. She worked as a national coordinator for Serbia and regional coordinator assistant, on the project Initiative for RECOM - regional Commission for the establishment of facts about war crimes and other serious violations of human rights committed in the former Yugoslavia from 1991-2001.

In the Office, her duties include communication and establishing different models of cooperation between public administration and CSOs, especially in the field of drafting legal acts. Since April 2017, she started working as a PR of the Office, on communication planning and promotional activities.

She is skilled in research techniques, project management and communication. Very curious and devoted to creating social change.
